She fought the law, but the law won in the end.

Cinnamon recaptured.

>>>>She was found safe and well on Friday afternoon in a pond within the neighbouring woodland conservation area, and is now back in her enclosure.

"We're absolutely delighted to have Cinnamon back at the zoo," said owner, Will Dorrell.

"I’d love to say it was nice and easy getting her out of the pond but it wasn’t. Several of us got very wet.<<<

I'm thinking maybe the Dead Kennedys version of "I Fought The Zoo".

===================

You can get away with murder if you're Cinnamon

I am the Zoo and ... I won

I'll interpret this substack post as an open thread, so in this case, I'll bite:

My happiness has been through the roof as of late, because

1. I joined a discord server of NYC bluesky users, which is really made of up entirely of trans women mostly living in NYC. They answered all my questions about HRT and fashion, and as stated, it boosted my serotonin levels to "over the moon".

2. I went to a concert two Mondays ago (to see Billboard-charting independent Nerdcore Rapper Mega Ran) as well as a chiptune show last Friday to see my friend AnimalStyle (who is also a trans woman, and also gave me more pointers about HRT), and last Monday I saw Linkin Park at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which is a band I never thought I would ever see again (and a short bus ride from my house, even!). To make matters even better, I'm going to see Freezepop tomorrow!

So, I'm feeling as fantastic as can be! Pre-transition, I've seldom felt this happy (usually, it would be going to a convention like PAX, a country like Japan, one of the aforementioned concerts, or a music Festival like MAGFEST that would fill me with so much ecstasy)! Trans joy is a wonderful thing to behold!

Bravo! go Cinnamon!

But, it could have been worse: "Cinnamon fled her habitat at Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World "

Coulda been the velociraptors who got out....and we'd all be singing a very different tune :-)

Not only is this a work of art, it's extra-special because the tune is one of the only ones Mr. V will let me turn up to eleven.

That Churro is one hell of a lyricist, but I have to tell you that his handwriting (toothwriting?) is sloppy as hell. Who was this mammal's 1st grade teacher? I have to speak to the manager about this.

This made me so happy. I immediately heard the “Money for nothing tone”, a ghostly choir still wanting their M T V, and saw Marc Knoffler as a capybara.

Thanks for once again making my day

Too funny!

"See the upright biped with the earrings and the make up?

Yeah, buddy, her back’s got no hair."

I lost it right there. 🤣

Also, naming those two Cinnamon and Churo??? 😆

Quick update though, Cinnamon was spotted using a drone. She's within 200m of her family's enclosure, so she's staying in the vicinity of her loved ones whilst still evading capture.

Wow! I wouldn't think she could operate a drone.

They're a very talented family of rodents, just look at her brother the lyricist.

She's at the river most of the time. She came back to hear her brother sing.
