I think this yours is a good point: most of the social media companies are downright evil, but having one be comic evil is making the others look better. FB/IG are necessary for my business but they make my personal life worse in more ways than they have made it better. And I never bothered with Twitter but I wonder if its downfall (and jeez, I wish all those podcasters would leave it, I’m starting to judge them for continuing to support it by being active there apparently) is actually driving people away from social media in general. I think we will never be rid of Musk, though, his comic villainy is definitely attractive to the news media longing for the angry attention they addicted themselves to with Trump.
